2 Northern Colorado roadside killings remain unsolved after 2 years

David Moore, Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force spokesman, speaks during a media briefing Tuesday, April 26. Johnny Jacoby would have become a great-uncle this spring, watching as his nephew became a dad and his beloved Northern Colorado family grew by one. William Connole would have had a field day chatting with his sister, Mary, about today’s national political landscape. County Line Road, to 9000 E. Peakview Ave. in Greenwood Village this fall, officials announced Monday. The vacant 45,000-square-foot property, which is visible from Interstate 25, was one of the first Colorado Sports Authority stores to close last year as the now-defunct retailer tried to reorganize through bankruptcy. The current location — which has an Englewood mailing address — opened in 1998. “That’s a big reason for the move,” REI spokesman Mike Ferris said. “We’ve heard from members and customers for years that they want a bigger store with larger assortments.” The Greenwood Village property is the second former Sports Authority in Colorado that REI has taken over.
